Substrate Preference:

  • Best Substrates: Hardwood sawdust, supplemented straw, or a mix of sawdust and soybean hulls.

  • Growing Conditions: Black Pearl King Oyster mushrooms thrive at 18-24°C (64-75°F) with high humidity (~85%).

Cultivation Tips:

  • Incubation: Keep in a dark, warm environment for mycelium to colonize.

  • Fruiting: Expose to light and maintain a high humidity level to encourage fruiting. CO2 levels should be low to promote larger caps.

Harvesting: Pick the mushrooms before the cap becomes too broad to ensure optimal texture.
