Scientific name: Cordyceps Militaris

Substrate Preference:

  • Best Substrates: Rice, silkworm pupae, or insect-infused substrates.

  • Growing Conditions: Cordyceps prefers cooler temperatures around 18-20°C (64-68°F), with low light.

Cultivation Tips:

  • Incubation: Mycelium will colonize the substrate over 3-4 weeks.

  • Fruiting: Expose to indirect light and maintain high humidity (90%+). This species is sensitive to environmental changes, so consistency is key.

Harvesting: Harvest when the orange fruiting bodies reach around 5 cm in height.
